Simpson Strong-Tie opens new 496,000 SF Gallatin facility delivered by Merus
Jan. 22, 2026 – Merus announced the delivery of a 496,336 SF build-to-suit manufacturing and warehouse facility for Simpson Strong-Tie, a leading building products manufacturer with deep roots in Middle Tennessee. Delivered in Fall 2025, the $125 million project keeps Simpson Strong-Tie’s operations and approximately 250 jobs anchored in Gallatin while creating long-term capacity for future growth.
The new facility is located on a 64-acre campus, including a 42.8-acre parcel developed specifically for Simpson Strong-Tie. The site’s premier location in Gallatin, combined with Merus’s deep market and design-build expertise, prompted Simpson Strong-Tie to partner with Merus on the state-of-the-art facility.
“This project reflects what’s possible when site strategy, design, and construction are fully aligned around an end user’s business,” said Patrick Poole, SVP & Nashville Market Leader at Merus. “Simpson Strong-Tie needed room to grow without leaving a community integral to its success. Our role was to deliver a facility that supports today’s operations while positioning the company for what’s next.”
Ware Malcomb served as architect for the project, with Merus leading delivery through an integrated design-build approach. The team worked closely with Simpson Strong-Tie to keep the project moving from design through construction, making timely decisions that aligned scope, schedule, and budget.
The project also contributes to Gallatin’s economic strength by retaining jobs, expanding the local tax base, and supporting continued activity among regional suppliers and service providers. Developed in collaboration with state and local partners, the facility reinforces Gallatin’s competitiveness for industrial investment and reflects a shared commitment to keeping manufacturing jobs in the U.S.
